Design and Build

The Realme 5 comes with a polycarbonate body with a glossy finish that gives it a premium look. The phone is available in two color options: Crystal Blue and Crystal Purple. Both colors have a gradient finish that gives the phone a unique look.

On the back of the phone, you will find a quad-camera setup that is placed vertically in the center of the phone. The camera setup is slightly raised, which means that the phone wobbles when placed on a flat surface. However, this can be easily fixed with a phone case.

The Realme 5 comes with a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. The display has a 20:9 aspect ratio, which makes it perfect for watching movies and playing games. The screen-to-body ratio of the phone is 82.7%, which means that the phone has a relatively small bezel.

The display of the Realme 5 is not as sharp as some of its competitors. However, the colors are vibrant, and the viewing angles are decent.

 

Performance

The Realme 5 runs on Android 9 Pie, which is slightly disappointing as Android 10 had already been released at the time of the phone's launch. However, the phone comes with Realme's custom skin, ColorOS 6, which is a well-optimized skin that offers a smooth user experience.The Realme 5 is not the most powerful phone in its price range. However, it can handle day-to-day tasks with ease. The phone can also handle light gaming, but you might experience some lag while playing graphics-intensive games.

 

Camera

 

The Realme 5 comes with a quad-camera setup that includes a 12-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, you will find a 13-megapixel selfie camera.The primary camera of the Realme 5 takes decent photos in daylight. However, the camera struggles in low-light conditions, and the photos come out noisy.

The ultrawide camera of the Realme 5 is a nice addition, and it allows you to capture more in a single frame. However, the quality of the photos is not as good as the primary camera.

The macro camera of the Realme 5 is a hit or miss. While it can take some impressive macro shots, the camera struggles to focus on the subject, and the photos come out blurry.

The Realme 5 comes with 5000mAh battery that can easily use for a day. The phone also supports 10W fast charging, which means that you can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in

The Realme 5 comes with a dual-SIM slot and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The phone also has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a microUSB 2.0 port.

 

Audio:

The Realme 5 has a single bottom-firing speaker that is loud and clear. The phone also has a headphone jack, which is a welcome addition.

 The Realme 5 has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that is quick and accurate. The phone also supports face unlock, which works well in well-lit conditions.
